Effectively coordinate and oversee the Banquets staff and overall execution of events.
Meet with the customers to review the Banquet Event Order and to review any changes, issues and/or problems to ensure delivery of a quality product.
All banquet rooms match customer expectations.
Stay in close communication with client to ensure all time schedules and other expectations are being met.
Ensuring that services meet customer specifications.
Manages customer complaints and comments.
Oversees all rehearsals conducted by Maitre D’s & Bridal Attendants (will conduct as needed).
Oversees all room set ups (proper placement of tables, chairs, etc).
Proper Documentation of Incident Reports from start to finish.
Provide leadership to all Banquet department team members and ensure excellent performance.
Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff and review pertinent information (i.e. name of the group and history, menu and special requests, timing of event, and shift assignments and most importantly ALLERGIES or KOSHER).
Ordering of all linens and any other necessary room décor if applicable.
Responsible for maintaining clean interior/exterior of building i.e. snow removal, no trash, furniture set-up, carpets, bathrooms, hallways, linens on tables, etc.
Work with sales to confirm payments and deposits are on schedule
Works with the Kitchen, Sales and others to ensure we optimize the event in terms of set-up and revenue.
Conducts monthly meetings with floor staff to review all policies, procedures, training (will schedule 2 weeks prior to meeting)
Update of employee manual, policies & procedures. Review semi-annually
Creates/implements set ups for cocktail hour/dessert displays (work with Kitchen Manager for execution/equipment used for each station)
Oversees all display set ups by housemen (will show them photos of the displays that were created)
Research & Development of new stations of cocktail hour/dessert
Properly train staff how to work each station (i.e. carving, ice cream, pasta, etc)
Create standardized directions for each station (print outs for staff at each meeting)
Educate staff on where all equipment goes
