Our Client of Albany, NY is seeking to hire an experienced nurse as a full-time Lab and Clinical Coordinator to locate, confirm, place, and monitor Practical Nursing (PN) students in all clinical and lab sites at their college. As a Lab and Clinical Coordinator for the Practical Nursing (PN) Department, you manage and monitor faculty and activity at each clinical site and lab. By maintaining ongoing relationships and seeking new partner sites, you make sure that they have the facilities available to instruct our students. You locate, confirm, place, and monitor students in clinical and lab sites. With the assistance of the faculty, you ensure appropriate lab utilization to develop learning experiences to achieve course outcomes. You make recommendations for operational changes to enhance the effectiveness of the Nursing Skills Lab in serving students and faculty members to the Department Chair.

Additionally, you hire and train clinical instructors and maintain proper clinical coverage for each term. To complete faculty observations and student evaluations, you visit clinical sites frequently. You meet regularly with nursing faculty and clinical instructors to review course objectives, identify student challenges, and strategize to assist students with mastering those challenges. The students value you as an academic program resource for guidance and remediation.


● Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, master’s degree preferred
● Current New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing
● At least 2 years of direct care experience as a nurse
● Ability to supervise students in performing basic nursing skills
● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Skype
