A leading Biotechnology Company in contract development and manufacturing of cell therapy seeks a Facilities Technician-HVAC for their State-of-the-art analytical, cell processing and manufacturing facility. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for the performance and documentation of the required maintenance and monitoring of the facility, systems and equipment. The required duties include execution of Preventive and Corrective/General/Emergency maintenance on the facility’s mechanical systems and equipment, installation of new equipment, operation of the facility’s systems, including HVAC, environmental monitoring and BMS systems, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include minimize equipment downtime, lead projects, and ensure that the needs of internal and external customers are met.

As the Facilities Technician you will work with facilities, engineering and operations to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
Provides supervision and training for contactors
Strong knowledge of chemistry laboratory operations
A self-starter who is organized, detailed, conscientious, and ambitious.
Multi-craft professional maintenance experience with strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Able to read/redline electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical/assembly drawings.
Perform all duties in accordance with all applicable safety regulations. Monitor overall job environmental, health and safety aspects and understands the risks and liabilities associated with various facilities maintenance and repair activities. Must be able to recognize hazard conditions, take appropriate work place safety measures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to suit work environment.
Responsible to follow all site Safety Policies/OSHA policies including requirements as related to personal protection equipment as needed to perform routine and non-routine duties.
Demonstrated ability to exercise leadership, diplomacy, and problem solving skills when coordinating and working within all levels of the organization.
Experience working in a cGMP environment (preferably pharmaceutical/biotech) required.
Support the installation, maintenance, operation and adjustments made to building controls systems, HVAC equipment, i.e. pumps, boilers, air handling units, air compressors, cooling towers, process gas systems, chillers, and chemical delivery systems
