Accurately maintains and prepares various Client company payrolls on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly basis. Performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions and processing terminations. Duties include checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards. Although duties normally follow established procedures, responsibilities may include routine, minor corrections to make documents acceptable for processing. Responsible for answering Client and employee questions and troubleshooting issues. Works under close supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•High school graduate or equivalent, college coursework or degree helpful.
•Six months plus experience or training in payroll procedures.
•Knowledge of wage and hour laws.
•High degree of confidentiality.
•Knowledge of excel and Microsoft word – advanced computer skills.
•Ability to listen communicate and follow-up effectively with staff, clients and employees.
•Good phone etiquette and customer service.
