Interviews now being scheduled for a Part-Time Kennel Attendant - needed at our private show-dog kennel.
-- Must be physically fit enough to exercise large dogs and have no issue with climbing stairs
-- Must be able to lift and carry 30 pound bags/cases of dog food
-- Must have a verifiable work history with record of being punctual and reliable
-- Must have reasonably clean driving record with current driver's license
-- Must pass a Background Check with clean results
-- Prior Kennel experience is preferred but not required
A typical work-week consists of 2 or 3 (morning/evening) shifts including at least one Weekend day and averaging approximately 15-20 hours per week.
As Stated above, This is a great "get your foot in the door to the veterinary world" and learning opportunity as we are affiliated with a local veterinary hospital. If you are interested in a career in animal medicine, this position provides some of the needed "hands-on" prerequisites. It is also perfect for self-study college student taking online classes or enrolled in a veterinary certificate program.
The position's pay rate is based on experience and performance - starting at $10 per hour. Supervisory or managerial experience is a plus. Other benefits are offered - commensurate with the animal healthcare industry.
